Liberal Jesus and other Christian dilemmas.

In the movie Star Wars the Last Jedi. Luke Skywalker has some radical ideas about the Jedi ending. There is a moment when Luke is reunited with an old friend R2 D2. R2 shows him the old Leia hologram trying to convince Luke to change his mind about his conviction. And Luke with his mind set tells R2 " that was a cheap move."
This is how I feel when ever I hear arguments from people who are politically far left or liberal try to say Jesus was a liberal. Or bring up that Jesus was about love and that is what liberals are about. That the ones on the far right are about hate. That it is a cheap move to justify everything on the far left.
I mean let's look at the left. First off. This argument can only apply to people who believe Jesus was a real person. And then there is the argument that Jesus was who he claimed to be.
Let's look at Mark 13: 22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
So in order to be a follower of Christ you must believe in him and who Jesus claimed to be. which was God manifested in the flesh. According to the bible.
One of the arguments or tactics the left uses is the scripture not to judge. Matthew 7: 1,2 Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
Now Jesus was explicitly rebuking the hypocrisy of the Pharisees, who were quick to see the sins of others but were blind and unwilling to hold themselves accountable to the same standard they were imposing on everyone else. This is where I think everyone has a dilemma when it comes to trying to hold to the standard of God and our own. Because we all fall into being hypocrites. Because for one thing everyone judges everyone. And they do it according to their own standards not Gods.
If you look at what the scripture is saying. If we do judge we better have a good standard to go by other wise we will be judged for our actions as well. When a Christian points out something in the Bible that the bible clearly points out as sin or wrong, that is not a Christian judging but pointing out what the Bible says.
One of the reasons people on the left use it is because they want to justify things like homosexuality. Or they will use it as justification for any sin really. Now this is where the left just derail the Bible. Because even though people have tried to change the Bible to match how they want to live their life, which is forbidden to do. The Bible is very clear. Leviticus 18:22 - Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it [is] abomination. Leviticus 20:13 - If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood [shall be] upon them.
Now if anyone even reads this blog post. That last thing will surely piss people off. But I am writing this to make a point. You can't have your cake and eat it too. You can't have a liberal Jesus that you think accepts homosexuality when the Bible clearly says it is an abomination. And God in the old testament put people to death over sins. Pretty harsh until Jesus, God has mercy and grace for our sin.
Here in, I think there are many dilemmas trying to be a Christian. And I even hear debates among Christians who say once saved always saved and the ones who say you can lose your salvation. I think living a Christian standard is not easy. I'm sure there will be people that argue that. But the bible clearly says all of us have fallen short of the glory of God. The bible also says that any one who believes on Jesus will be saved. But Christians will argue you can lose your salvation. Here In lies a dilemma of sorts.
Because as a Christian we are not supposed to sin. I think there are people who struggle in sin. But just won't admit they are a sinner. Instead they justify their sin. It would seem God would be harsh to just give up on us when we struggle with certain sins. But we have to admit we sin. Like an alcoholic who has a problem has to admit he has a problem.
So I think God has mercy on those who struggle, but people who reject God or justify their actions by saying God created them a certain way is justifying or shifting the blame on God.
Here is another Dilemma, sex. I think it is a huge dilemma. It was created for Men and Women to have children and family and is also pleasurable. But only if done the way God intended. Anything out side the marriage is considered sinful. Lusting, fornication, adultery. But what is the single person supposed to do? Is he supposed to stay celibate? With todays radical feminists who hate men and men get destroyed in the system it's a high risk for men to get involved. What if you do not want kids does that make you a bad person? what if you are tired of dealing with many of the problems that go along with this situation?
I have seen many people's testimonies that claim they have died and gone to hell. Even people that thought they were Christian. But I don't know what to believe. Because of the idea of grace through faith and works. Salvation is provided in Christ alone by grace alone through faith alone (Ephesians 2:8–9). No person is perfect, and no human action can make a person right before a sinless, holy God. No one can earn or merit salvation, no matter how “religious” he or she is or how meritorious the work seems to be. So I think these hell testimonies may be deceptive because they always seem to rely on works to be saved. But only Jesus can save a person and have mercy on his soul
To me hell seems like a pretty harsh place. Not some where I ever want to be. If it is a real place, as I believe it is, I need a savior. I need Jesus to save me and have mercy on me a lost soul and sinner who does struggle to save my soul for eternity.
There is a mystery as to why we exist. The mystery of the universe. Was it created by an all knowing creator or just some random occurrence? Both are mysteries. There is this struggle for truth. I just think there has to be something greater than we know.
I think we live in a matrix of control in this world. Because it is a fallen state. Controlled by the very evil the Bible talks about. I believe people in power control our lives. I think to a certain extant we are trapped in slavery. We are not free. If we are free why do we have to get up and go to a job we hate and deal with that everyday if we are free?
There seems to be some cosmic spiritual battle of good vs. evil constantly being played out for our souls. Because it's there for people who have eyes to see. You see that in the divide of the left vs. right. Politically. I'm not saying Jesus would agree with everything the right does. The reason people create this liberal Jesus is because they think Jesus is all about love. Which I think he is, but they literally create a liberal Jesus. Even though the Jesus in the Bible would not approve of what they are about. Does anyone think Jesus in the Bible would approve of abortion? Let's go down the list. Jesus was about treating all people the same. The left wants to exclude white people from that. Feminists have a hatred of men. Genesis 1: 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female. Would Jesus approve of homosexuality Or the LGBT?. Strongly doubt because the bible, which is the word of God calls it an abomination. I'm sure leftists would say "yeah but Jesus hung out with sinners." Yeah, because he came to save the sinners not justify their sin. So I think the liberal Jesus is a false Jesus liberals try to push to justify their sin. It's just another tactic the left uses. what amazes me about the left is they say the right are not tolerant and the right are full of hate, but I see that more from the left. Really doubt Jesus would approve.
Who knows if anyone will ever read this. These are just my opinions and thoughts, I feel I needed to get out of my system. The thing is I wish I could be more neutral in some ways about things, but it is hard because I feel strongly about some things and just feel they need some outlet. I mean people have free will to do what they want. And for the most part if it doesn't harm another person, but God is set in what is right to God. And this is why people in the world have some problems with Christianity. This is why they create their liberal Jesus. So they don't have to struggle with what the Bible actually says. Here in lies another dilemma. These things are going to be sorted out by God in the long run. What can you do?
